BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU ORDER!

The Ford Model A two-tooth steering systems used two different length steering shafts.  Ford replaced the weaker, non-adjustable seven-tooth steering box with a two-tooth box during the 1929 model year and continued with the two-tooth box until the end of production in the spring of 1932.  However, the 1929 and early 1930 two-tooth steering shaft was 43 inches while the later 1930 and up two-tooth steering shaft was 44 inches.  

It is vital that you measure and order the proper length steering shaft with your rebuild kit.  The measurement is taken from the end of the worm gear to the steering wheel end of the shaft at the end of the threads.  You must do this before ordering so that you are assured to get the proper length shaft.

While the 43″ vs 44″ is generally accepted to relate to 1929-early 1930 cars, do not assume!  Over their histories the steering box and column in your car may have been changed.  You will not be certain until you disassemble and measure!
