The left-hand-drive Worm and Sector for the two-tooth steering box have not been available for some time. US supplies of seven-tooth parts and kits are running low. At Model A Steering LLC in Florida, we have re-initiated the flow of these parts incorporated into a complete kit to rebuild your steering box and return your Model A to top performance.
For many years Model A owners have not been able to find new Worm and Sector Gears for their Two-Tooth Steering Boxes anywhere – “Temporarily Unavailable.” Forums reported that the previous manufacturer in Argentina had “gone out of business” and that the parts would “soon be available again.” But after a long time, we have had to accept that the parts were going to “be available soon.” Someday. Just wait a little while longer.
Well, the wait is over!
Here at Model A Steering LLC, we have located the SAME MANUFACTURER in Argentina – not “out of business” but instead continuing the manufacture of high-quality steering gear parts for classic cars from the 1920 to the introduction of rack and pinion steering in newer cars. They have been in business manufacturing steering gear parts since 1962! The kits that you get from Model A Steering are the same quality that Model A enthusiasts have been using for decades.
We now have a complete two-tooth rebuild kit available that includes ALL NEW PARTS and ALL NEW WORM AND SECTOR, already attached to a NEW 43″ or 44″ STEERING SHAFT. (You must measure your steering shaft to ensure ordering the proper length.) Everything is included in the kit to rebuild your Two-Tooth Steering Box and make your Model A steer properly and securely again!
We will also supply complete kits for the seven-tooth steering boxes, too! Coming soon! Later this year we will have a supply of just the worm and sector on a new steering shaft along with other individual parts! With the backlog of folks needing to refresh their two-tooth steering boxes, we are starting with them!
